Leona Gadsby , COTR Literacy Instructor in Invermere, and the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy was the first recipient of the Council of the Federation Literacy Award announced by Premier Gordon Campbell August 11th! COTR is very proud of Leona and the work she has been doing to promote literacy throughout our region.

RiPAL-BC is hosting "An Afternoon of Research in Practice" on Tuesday, January 24. Join us for lunch as we discuss research in practice in everday literacy work, then choose one of four interesting workshops in the afternoon on diverse topics such as teaching adult numeracy, program evaluation, and getting your research off the ground.
